The Re-Ressurection

(Lights come up, illuminating a lone figure on the stage of an otherwise deserted auditorium)

Hello and welcome to the third coming of Mr. Sharkey's presence on the internet, or as I like to call it, the re-resurrection. It's not entirely coincidental that this post comes to you on the ninth anniversary of the sudden end to MrSharkey.com, my first full safari into the wilds of Netland. That it comes on the third anniversary of the last saved post from the second coming, is indeed coincidental.

This time around, I've registered a new domain, with a tip of the hat to Stuart Crawford, the original registrar of Housetrucks.org some many years ago. Stu is the former proprietor of House Trucks New Zealand, and current administrator of Nomadicista, a long-standing forum on many subjects.

Thanks also to Roger Beck, author of Some Turtles Have Nice Shells, who had the presence of mind to register Housetrucks.com (I'm still annoyed that I didn't think of this first).

At any rate, the intention this time around is to stick around longer than last time, try to modernize the experience within reasonable limits, and present much of the legacy information from MrSharkey.com for perusal.

Before the show begins, let me caution you that while things are looking fairly complete, there may still be some wet paint on the walls and fixtures, it's unwise to peer into any of the closets, and there may be secrets swept under some of the carpets. I guarantee that there is a large pile of construction debris behind the stage curtain. Some of the links and features probably aren't working quite right, if at all, so have some patience until the electricians have had a chance to screw the fuses into the proper sockets.

More to come, a post-a-day keeps the taxman away (or so they say).http://nomadicista.org
